Technical and Vocational University Hosts BRICS Academy Leader to Advance 2026 Skills Collaboration
A Chinese delegation led by Dr. Liu Jining, Head of the BRICS Skills Development, Applied Technologies, and Innovation Working Group and Founder of the BRICS Academy in China, visited the Technical and Vocational University on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Dr. Ihab Al-Shoura from the BRICS Academy in China accompanied Dr. Liu. The delegation arrived in Iran on December 13 at the invitation of the Presidential Center for Transformation and Progress and will remain as joint guests of the university and the center until Thursday, December 17. In a meeting held in the university president's conference hall, attended by Dr. Gholamreza Zamani (University President), Dr. Mohammadreza Kalbasi (Vice President for Education), Dr. Mehrdad Ahmadi (Vice President for Research and Technology), Engineer Yasser Fakhr Mousavi (Director General of the President's Office), and Abdolhossein Nazarian (Director General of International Scientific Cooperation Office), areas of collaboration for the coming year were reviewed and finalized. Following a recap of last year's successful partnerships, three key areas were agreed upon: 1) Faculty exchange programs for empowering university and academy instructors; 2) Participation in organizing the 2026 BRICS Skills Competition; 3) Collaboration on developing BRICS skills standardization documents. Dr. Liu congratulated the Iranian participants on their achievements in the advanced BRICS Skills Competition in Russia and expressed hope that these successes would continue on the global stage through strengthened bilateral relations.
