NUS and BRICS Academy Sign Agreement on Skill Standardization and International Competitions
During an official meeting in Xiamen, China, the National University of Skills (NUS) and the BRICS Academy of Future Skills Development and Technology Innovation agreed to collaborate on two key areas: cross-national skill standardization and the annual organization of international skill competitions.
On June 8, 2025, as part of the NUS delegation’s strategic mission to China, a high-level meeting was held between Dr. Gholamreza Zamani, President of the National University of Skills, and Dr. Liu Zhenning, President of the BRICS Academy of Future Skills Development and Technology Innovation, in the city of Xiamen.
This strategic session led to the establishment of cooperation in two major fields:

Joint development of international skill standardization frameworks

Co-hosting of annual BRICS Skill Development and Innovation Competitions
Founded in 2021, the BRICS Academy plays a vital role in promoting futuristic skills and technological innovation among BRICS nations and beyond. Supported by the Xiamen Municipal Government and the Torch Hi-Tech Zone, the Academy has implemented over 91 major projects, trained more than 2 million professionals from over 100 countries, and established international branches in Moscow, Beijing, and Astana.
