Virtual Visit to ISC and ICeST

The Office of International Scientific Cooperation for Technical and Vocational University (TVU), in cooperation with the Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC) and the Information Center for Science and Technology (ICeST), held a virtual visit the two centers to familiarize university professors and researchers with the available research facilities and services.

In this virtual visit, which was carried out with the aim of accelerating scientific, educational, research and technology interactions, various services and systems of the ISC and ICeST were examined.

The following points were mentioned and introduced in this virtual visit:

* The services of Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC) and its various databases,

* The position of universities in the country and other Islamic countries in ISC rankings,

* The services of Information Center for Science and Technology (ICeST)

* Indicators and how to evaluate the performance of universities and research institutes at national and international levels,

* The method of indexing full-text articles and citation analysis of bibliographic information of those documents and 

* Universities, journals, authors and top scientific works of the Islamic world

At the end of the discussion, the participants asked questions about how to access various national and international ISC and ICeST information sources, the types of rankings and ..., which both virtual visit lecturers answered and provided the necessary explanations.

This virtual visit was available to the public on Tuesday 22/6/2021 from 10:00 to 12:00 Tehran standard time, through the link https://webinar.nus.ac.ir/isc.
