Technical and Vocational University Was Included in the List of World's Most Sustainable University in 2020

Technical and Vocational University Was Certified as the 859th World's Most Sustainable University in 2020 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings. TVU has participated in this global ranking system for the second time (first time in 2019) among reputable universities according QS World University Rankings, such as University of Oxford, Leiden University, University of Nottingham, University of Warwick and many other universities and certified as 859th world's most sustainable university in 2020 UI GreenMetric. The evaluation criteria in the GreenMetric ranking system are based on long-term sustainable development strategies in educational institutions and aim to provide a comprehensive overview of current educational status and policies and environmental research, and the use of renewable energies in the path of sustainable development in world universities.
This ranking system lists the names of 41 major Iranian universities, such as the University of Tehran, Zanjan, Kashan, Al-Zahra, Gilan, Isfahan, Ferdowsi Mashhad, Bu Ali Sina University Hamadan, Amir Kabir University of Technology, Shiraz, Arak, Tabriz, Yazd, Zanjan Medical Sciences, TVU, Islamic Azad, Razi Kermanshah, Mohaghegh Ardabili,Applied Science University, ... which were evaluated alongside other universities around the world.
In its latest assessment at the end of 2020, the Vocational University was ranked higher than the universities in Indonesia, Pakistan, Russia, Iraq, India, Bulgaria, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Nicaragua, Thailand, Peru and many Iranian universities.
Among the strengths of Technical and Vocational University are the followings: 550 points difference with Oxford University-the second in the world-in the Settings and Infrastructure index, 125 points difference with Zanjan University-54th in the world-in the Energy & Climate Change index, even better than the University of Tehran-489th in the world, 678 points difference with Oxford University-ranked second in the world- in the index of water.
