The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has announced the call for the 2020 Biennial J. Finley-UNESCO Award.

The award is in the field of microbiology and includes an award of $ 20,000. The award, presented by the Cuban Government, is awarded to a person or institution / organization that has made a significant contribution to microbiology research and development through its efforts and persistence in immunology, molecular biology, genetics, and so on. Applicants must be nominated by the UNESCO National Commission for their country. To this end, eligible applicants must submit their documents in English in 5 copies (5 CDs) containing the following, before 30 January, 2020 to the UNESCO National Commission.

  • Summary of work and results along with articles, books and other publications
  • Define how the achievement relates to the goals of the award
