African Union Commissioner met Dr. Salar Amoli and a number of Officials from Distinguished Universities on March 10th, 2019 in Tehran
Human resources, Science and Technology commissioner of African Union, Sarah Anyang accompaned by two of her colleagues met Dr. Salar Amoli, Acting Minister for international affairs, on March 10th, 2019 in Tehran.
In the presence of a few representatives from distinguished universities, the meeting was held from 10 to 12 at MSRT Centre of International Scientific Cooperation conference room.
Professor Anyang first introduced African Union and its interest in expanding the scientific collborations with Iranian academics, then identified the following fields as the priorities for such collaborations: High-tech, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Renewable Energies, Robotics, and Information Technology.
Dr. Talebi, Director General of international affairs at TVU also introduced TVU potentials for academic cooperation and stated that TVU is open to African parties to hold a number of events in-common including short term and long term training courses, retraining the trainers programmes, and even admitting the African students for Associates' and Bachelor degrees in TVU branches across Iran and of course under the demand of the African Union. The African commissioner was satisfied with TVU readiness for cooperation and hoped to have more precise negotiations on the issue.
After the meeting, they had tour to Sharif University and then they had another meeting at the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education.
the African delegates are to leave Tehran on Tuseday March 12th , 2019.
